Georgina Riveros Pi, born 21 June 1964, Cuba. Graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Industrial Design in Havana, Cuba, 1985-1986. She is an experimental designer and a winner of many awards in Cuba and abroad. Ms Riveros has attended many Art events inside and outside of Cuba and has had exhibitions in Mexico, Colombia, Spain and Canada. She began working in 1996 as a designer of labels for different national products made for export. And from 1999 to 2006 worked as an orientation executive at the Development Department of Almest, a joint venture project with foreign investors for the decoration of hotels, etc. In 2000 Ms Riveros developed orientation and decoration techniques and training sponsored by the French hotel chain ACOOR in Paris, France. Since 2001 she has worked as a free lance artist in the design and making of ceramic, curved pieces in bisque with acrylic pigments. In this collection there are varied structures including pots, table centers, dishes, skylights, mirror frames. Each piece is hand made and decorated individually.
